Services​
What install services do you provide? Aerial replacements, retrofit kits (Android Auto/Apple CarPlay/reverse camera), band expanders, cameras (reverse/front/driving/dash), parking sensors (only available for some vehicles), radars (window mounted/concealed), speakers, stereos, subwoofers, amplifiers, active subs, Bluetooth modules, throttle controllers, sound deadening application. I can’t get NZ radio stations, can you help? Yes, we can add a band expander to most factory stereos which will allow your stereo to reach NZ radio frequencies. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Can you convert the language on my stereo to English? Not usually. This is because import stereos are normally made for the country they originate from. Sometimes there may be an option in the settings to change the language. If the vehicle has a factory stereo that needs to be converted to English, the dealer may be able to help (e.g. Mazda/Toyota). If the language can’t be changed, we recommend replacement. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Can a reverse camera be added to my existing stereo? It depends on the stereo and if it has the capability to take a reverse camera connection. It’s helpful for us to see a photo of the stereo or see the car in person so we can check. There are a few different options we can recommend if your vehicle doesn’t have a stereo with a screen, such as dash/window mounted monitor, a monitor that clips onto your rear view mirror or a stereo replacement. We can also install reverse camera setups specifically designed for trucks and trailers. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Can you hide the cords for window mounted radar/cameras? Yes, we can hardwire in window mounted products. Some might need a product specific hardwire kit. Get in touch to see if we can help.

Can you install audio to my motorbike? Yes we can install audio to motorbikes. We can also install audio products you have purchased elsewhere. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Do you install alarms? Unfortunately we don’t install alarms but can recommend companies who do, depending on your location.
Repairs
My stereo is broken, can it be repaired? It depends on the issue and type of stereo. We can fix several issues and have partnered with a repair company who we send stereos to if we are unable to repair them. If the stereo is beyond repairing, we would suggest replacement. There are various types of stereos we are unable to repair and would suggest a replacement instead. Usually these are aftermarket import stereos. Get in touch to see if we can help.
My speakers are crackly can you repair them? It depends on the issue. We can fix several issues with speakers and can repair specific types of speakers. If the speaker is beyond repairing, we would suggest replacement. Get in touch to see if we can help.
There is no sound coming from my audio system, can you fix the issue? It depends on the issue. We can diagnose and fix several stereo and speaker problems. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Products
What brands do you currently sell? Audio: JVC, Kenwood, Alpine, Pioneer, Rockford Fosgate, Grundig, Kicker, Audison, Hertz, MTX (limited stock), Cerwin Vega and more… Accessories: ParkMate, Blackvue and more… If you don’t see a brand here, get in touch as we might be able to order it in.
Can I get Apple CarPlay/Android Auto installed in my vehicle? We can install Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to most vehicles. The most common way is to replace the stereo with an aftermarket stereo which has these features. However, replacing a stereo isn't always an option for some vehicles, this is common with several modern Euros and some Mazda’s. For these vehicles we can offer retrofit kits. Retrofit kits These kits integrate with the software in the factory stereo giving it more features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Most also allow the addition of a reverse cameras, Bluetooth and USB. Get in touch to see what might suit your vehicle.

What is the point of installing an amplifier to speakers? Amplifiers allow you to increase the volume of speakers without losing clarity and reach the maximum wattage. Stereos have a small built in amplifier that doesn't produce a lot of power. Better speakers require more power to run smoothly and an amplifier that. Without enough amplifier power, the sound will be distorted and maximum wattage of the speakers won’t be reached. Aftermarket speakers give better power handling and have better construction which gives you higher quality music to listen to. Get in touch to see if we can help.
It doesn’t look like there’s a space for an aftermarket stereo to fit in my vehicle. Not a problem! A wide range of aftermarket dash parts are available for most vehicles to change the part of the dash where the original stereo is and fit an aftermarket stereo. Get in touch to see if we can help.
I’ve already brought audio products, can you install them? Yes, we are happy to install products you’ve already purchased. So we can provide an accurate quote, it’s helpful for us to get as much information about the product/s you have. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Information
What information do you need to give me a quote? Usually we just need to know the year/make/model of your vehicle and what services you need from us. For stereo installs it’s helpful for us to see a photo of the stereo/dash setup or see the car in person. This is because a lot of vehicles (especially modern vehicles) require parts to install an aftermarket stereo, they don’t just fit straight in. Additionally, 2 vehicles that have the same year, make and model might have different dash setups. Get in touch to see if we can help.
Where are you located, and what are your opening hours? Our workshop address is 4/5 Rutherford Street, Lower Hutt. We are open from Mon-Fri: 8:30am - 4:30pm and Saturday by appointment only. Please call before you come down to make sure someone is there to meet you as the workshop is occasionally unattended due to off-site work.
What payment options do you have? Currently we accept Eftpos, credit card or cash. We don’t yet have options like AfterPay, but can invoice a job out prior to the install date where you can pay instalments leading up to the job. Full payment must be made before you take the vehicle away. We are working on setting up AfterPay.
How do I buy product from you if I can’t get to your shop? We currently don’t have an online shop but can take orders via email and issue an invoice for payment. Once payment is received we will ship the products out to you.
