What install services do you provide?

Aerial replacements, retrofit kits (Android Auto/Apple CarPlay/reverse camera), band expanders, cameras (reverse/front/driving/dash), parking sensors (only available for some vehicles), radars (window mounted/concealed), speakers, stereos, subwoofers, amplifiers, active subs, Bluetooth modules, throttle controllers, sound deadening application. If you don’t see an install service listed here, get in touch and we can let you know if we can help.

What is your warranty policy?

All products/services come with a minimum 12 months warranty unless specified otherwise.If you believe you have a warranty issue, please contact Total Audio. We will help determine the appropriate next step and provide any information required to begin the warranty assessment.

Question 3

Can you do the install at my house/business?

Accepted Answer

We prefer to do installs at our workshop but depending on the area, we can come to you. A call out fee will be charged.

What other services do you provide?

Accepted Answer

Car diagnostic testing, stereo repairs, speaker repairs, diagnosing audio issues, electronic removals. If you don’t see an install service listed here, get in touch and we can let you know if we can help.

Question 5

Can you convert the language on my stereo to English?

Accepted Answer

Not usually. This is because import stereos are normally made for the country they originate from. Sometimes there may be an option in the settings to change the language. If the vehicle has a factory stereo that needs to be converted to English, the dealer may be able to help (e.g. Mazda/Toyota). If the language can’t be changed, we recommend replacement. I can’t get NZ radio stations, can you help?

Yes, we can add a band expander to most factory stereos which will allow your stereo to reach NZ radio frequencies. Get in touch to see if we can help.

Question 7

Can a reverse camera be added to my existing stereo?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the stereo and if it has the capability to take a reverse camera connection. It’s helpful for us to see a photo of the stereo or see the car in person so we can check. There are a few different options we can recommend if your vehicle doesn’t have a stereo with a screen, such as dash/window mounted monitor, a monitor that clips onto your rear view mirror or a stereo replacement. We can also install reverse camera setups specifically designed for trucks and trailers. Get in touch to see if we can help.

Can you hide the cords for window mounted radar/cameras?

Yes, we can hardwire in window mounted products. Some might need a product specific hardwire kit.  Get in touch to see if we can help.

Can you install audio to my boat?
